Department of launching appliances is the youngest and perspective department of “Electric Engineering Ltd”. After the intensive study of foreign experience, in 2005 the department of launching appliances started  manufacturing of the first launching appliance SPU-800 with lifting capacity of 800 kg. In such a way, “Electric Engineering Ltd” was one of the first companies in the territory of CIS, which have manufactured the rescue boats’ launching appliance in complete accordance to international standards. In 2006 our company started the preparation for manufacturing of new launching appliance with lifting capacity of 1700 kg. Taking into account the requests, including the request for newly built ships, our company continue the designing and construction of launching appliances with perfected characteristics, using the best technical and technological solutions, current technologies and materials.

“Electric Engineering Ltd” not only guarantees the warranty service for manufactured equipment, but performs the test of launching appliances and rescue boats (on basis of agreements with makers), consulting with ship-owners regarding their experience of operation and service of these appliances.

In March 2009 our company got the approval of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping for the examination and test (annual, 5-yearly and after repairs) of:

• launching appliances using falls and winches for survival craft and rescue boats;
• launching appliances for free-fall lifeboats;
• on-load release gear and release arrangements for life-saving appliances;
• lifeboats for strength and watertightness.

The above listed works are carrying out in accordance with SOLAS 47 Regulation III/20 and IMO Circular MSC.1/Circ.1277.

In view of increasing production volume we proceed with building of workshops and replenishment of machine tool population. Having a high-qualified staff, our company is ready to help with solving of any problems and sums of ship-owners.
